Storing Onions and Potatoes
Storing onions and potatoes in baskets that allow the vegetables to have free flowing air with help them to last longer, which means you don’t have rotten/ wasted food. Proper storage saves money!
Here is how I store my potatoes and onions in my pantry. I came across these great metal baskets at a local thrift store and they were the perfect size for our family’s onion/ potato consumption. I lined them with white paper towels (we don’t want ink from the paper towels getting on our food) and added some handy dollar store chalk board clothes pins to label them. Simple and cute (and cheap)!
