Stuffed Mushrooms
Stuffed Mushrooms
Ingredients:
2 dozen white mushrooms, washed and de-stemmed (chop up the stems into mini pieces)
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/3 cup dry bread crumbs
1/2 package of dried onion soup mix (this is to taste)
1/2 cup minced walnuts (optional)
4 tablespoons sherry (or red wine)
1/2 cup shredded or grated parmesan cheese
Directions:
- Preheat broiler.
- Wash and prepare mushroom caps and stems.
- In a mixing bowl combine diced mushroom stems, butter, bread crumbs, onion soup mix, walnuts and sherry. Mix until combined.
- Fill each mushroom cap with the mixture.
- Place filled caps on baking sheet and top with parmesan cheese.
- Broil until warmed through.
- Serve warm.
