Here are some great tips when making mashed potatoes. If you want fluffier and lighter mashed potatoes, follow these tips for great results.

- Save water to use in the gravy.
- After pouring off the water, put the potatoes back in the pan with the heat on. This will help some of the excess water to evaporate, leaving you with a fluffier and whiter mashed potatoes.
- When mashing them, leaving them in your hot pan adding milk, butter and salt and pepper.
- Use an electric hand mixer to mash them, this will result in very fluffy potatoes.
