Tip of the Week: Last Minute Valentine’s Treat Bags

For all of you out there with kiddos in elementary school- Valentine’s parties are any day now!  If you are looking for a last minute treat bad idea- here is one for you!

Using brown paper lunch bags, use your home printer to make cute and customizable bags.  Your imagination is really the limit here.

Step One:

  1. Get your brown paper bags out and count to make sure you have enough.
  2. On your computer open a new Word document and change the paper settings to index card size 5×8 inches. ( Home> Page layout> size> 5×8 index card)
  3. Design your bag in Word.

4. Once you are happy with your design, you will need to flip it upside down.  Do this by double clicking on the image(s) and dragging the arrow straight down.

5. Now insert your lunch sacks into your printer (one at a time). You will want to do a test bag to verify how your printer is going to print out the bag.  You may need to adjust the side it is printed on.

6. Once you have printed all you bags, you can add additional color, staple a bow to the top, use your imagination.

7. Now just fill those up with some goodies from the kitchen or pantry.  (Ideas: granola bars, cookies, crackers, pencils, etc.)

8. Be creative!Valentinetreatbag_P
